The figure of mythical Barbara Hutton is the source of inspiration for the fall / winter 2019-2020 collection by Jorge Vázquez. Her summer residence in Tangier and the eccentric nights full of luxury mark the Galician designer’s fashion proposal.
Ethnic richness and oriental culture are reflected in garments of wide silhouettes and luxurious weavings like cashmere, alpaca and tulles meticulously embroidered. The chromatic range of the collection begins with dark tones, which are dotted with shines that symbolize the desert sun, until reaching a wide variety of bright colours.
Extreme luxury in pieces that are topped with fringes, embroidered in velvet, and trimmings that transport us to the exotic sensuality of a thousand and one nights. Animal prints, ikat and motifs that emulate Persian rugs become the signature of his new proposal.
