Menchén Tomàs creates the image of Madrid es Moda

07/06/2017

The Urban Fashion Festival MADRID ES MODA presents the graphic image of its 5th edition, which will be held from 11th to 19th September, designed by the creator from Barcelona Olga Menchén, Creative Director of MENCHÉN TOMÀS.

“I wanted a powerful graphic image that could explain many things with a quick glance and that breathed a summery air, like the collections that will be presented in September during Fashion Week,” recounts Menchén. Made exclusively for MADRID ES MODA, her creation draws a feminine silhouette “strong and risky” and a palette of colours ranging from yellow, to pink or black, “a fetish combination for me,” she confesses.

The MADRID ES MODA Urban Fashion Festival organizes and hosts special window shops, exhibitions, museum and bookstore routes, cinema, shopping … “It is a shuttle to showcase all the designers work and a way to involve the city, it is culture!” defends the designer.

For Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of ACME, “Olga Menchén has achieved an image of great visual impact playing with the contrast between the clean and crisp lines of the jacket that make up the logo and the gestural strokes that finish defining the silhouette. A suggestive and artistic image that represents very well the values and aims of Madrid es Moda”.

The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) promotes this action with the will to ‘dress-up’ the capital during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. In each edition, a designer of recognized prestige has signed the graphic image of the Festival: Ulises Mérida, Juana Martín, María Barros and, now, Olga Menchén.[:]
