Moisés Nieto, winner of Who’s on Next 2016

Designer Moses Nieto has raised winner of the 2016 Who’s on Next Vogue award. This event is a unique initiative that each year rewards the designer revelation. Yolanda Sacristan, Director of Vogue Spain, and the fashion team of the magazine are responsible for selecting the candidates, among which the winner is chosen. The delivery of this award has become an unmissable event, being the fashion award with the most important cash prize in our country. This prestigious event is part of Vogue Fashion Fund, an initiative with huge projection that brings together the 12 international editions of Vogue in a commitment towards finding and promoting new fashion design talent.

 

The creator from Jaén was finalist of the Vogue Who’s on Next award in 2015. Moisés Nieto is one of the great promises of Spanish fashion. He founded his own brand in 2011 after completing his studies in Fashion Design at IED Madrid. The designer combines craftsmanship with the most innovative design together with youth culture and is firmly committed to Made in Spain.

 

This is not the first award he receives, through out his succinct and intense career he has been awarded the prize My Own Show by Vogue Italia in 2011, the L’Oreal Paris for the best collection of EGO in 2012 and he was finalist in the Mango Fashion Awards in 2013. Moisés Nieto presents his collections in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid since 2013. In 2015 he won the first prize in the MFShow by Ecoembes Laboratory presenting his first collection of sustainable fashion in February 2016.

 

At the Who’s on Next gala, held at the Palace of Santoña, Vogue magazine also acknowledged the career of one of the Spanish designers with the most relevant global projection, Josep Font, Creative Director of signature label DelPozo.[:]
