How does Madrid es Moda taste?

04/07/2019

July afternoons are the best time to discover how fashion tastes together with Miguel Marinero, Maison Mesa and Lauwood. Madrid’s afterwork dresses up in its best clothes to star in dreamy evenings filled with fashion and delicatessen flavours. Madrid es Moda’s gourmet activities are the talk of the town. And there is no better way to end the day than with a cocktail or a bite filled with the best Spanish design while enjoying the creations that have inspired them.

For example, we encourage you to admire a part Miguel Marinero’s proposal, Sahel (S / S 2019) in one of the capital’s gastronomic spaces of reference, Platea, and at the same time savour a special cocktail that will remind you of the African desert, the designer’s main inspiration to create the exhibited collection. The name of the cocktail, Bandú, sounds good but tastes better. Amber, bourbon aroma, reminiscent of leather, the creator’s distinctive material, and amarula, a fruit of African culture, brings us all the flavour of this country. Do not miss it, only until July 10th.

In the same line, La Jefa Madrid restaurant, one of Madrid’s fashion venues, has created a gastro fashion menu based on the creative universe of Lauwood’s brand. Made exclusively for Madrid es Moda by the prestigious chef Juan Morales, you can taste it until July 13th in the aforementioned restaurant in Madrid’s Salamanca district. And after the dessert, a unique cocktail signed by barman Edwin Monroy with which to contemplate the “Lauwood Exclusive” handbags exhibit, inspired by artisan, tradition and craft culture, and even a fashion show with the most special pieces from his latest collection, such as the one held yesterday in the restaurant itself.

And finally, the legendary Gran Hotel Inglés will delight us with tapas, cocktails and afterwork prepared for Madrid es Moda. His chef Willy Moya has combined his know-how in the kitchen with the expertise of Maison Mesa in the design, to create a very special tapa and cocktail that can be tasted during the days of the festival. Such as the one designed by the fashion brand Highly Preppy and prepared by the Hotel’s master shaker. Both will be the protagonists of the programmed afterworks together with DJ’s music and many more surprises.

Keep diving into the activities scheduled for this summer on Madrid es Moda’s web.[:]
