Peñalver Brand presented its capsule collection, Upcycled Vol. 3, at OMODA Madrid es Moda through a performance in OHM Space. The collection continues Beatriz Peñalver’s exploration of upcycling as a creative method, as well as a manner of interpreting the previous lives of fabrics by looking within the domestic sphere and everyday materials to activate a new narrative regarding the wardrobe.
Blankets appear as a material and a symbolic starting point, accompanied by sheer curtains and drapes that introduce a new lightness to the construction of the pieces. This interplay between density and transparency defines the fashion collection’s visual rhythm. The silhouettes alternate between structured forms together with fluid drapes and volumes, allowing each fabric to dictate its own behavior on the body. The color palette, which originates from the prints of the blankets themselves, is balanced by the luminous white of sheer curtains. Each garment undergoes a process of deconstruction and reconstruction in the brand’s atelier, transforming these materials into unique, limited-edition pieces.
On stage, the collection transforms the memory of fabrics into a new starting point for dressing the present.
