Isla Bonita Moda Awards La Palma’s Talent

04/05/2026

Isla Bonita Moda celebrated the third edition of the Isla Bonita Moda Awards for Talent Made in La Palma, an event dedicated to acknowledging the work and the projects regarding fashion, image and creativity of the island’s professionals. The ceremony took place at the Benahoarita Archaeological Museum in Los Llanos de Aridane, a space that also provided a reference point for the awards’ concept.

Promoted by the La Palma Island Council through SODEPAL, the awards are part of the Isla Bonita Moda program, an institutional partner of ACME, that brings together brands, professionals, institutions, and agents from La Palma’s creative sector each year. This year, the trophy was designed by La Palma jeweler Pedro Ferreiro, based on the Benahoarita spiral, linked to the origins of La Palma.

The jury, made up by the Isla Bonita Moda Guarantees Committee, awarded Paola Barreto in the Fashion Brand category; Marta Ponzález in Photography and Runway Modeling; Oksana García in Makeup Professionals; Paula Rodríguez in Hairdressing Professionals; Geito Comunicación in Photography and Audiovisual Creation; Cristina Navarro in Fashion Content Creation; Zahira Pérez as New Talent in Garment Modeling; Elia Pérez as New Talent in Jewelry Processes; and Raquel Sanjuán as Sustainable Fashion Project.

The Honorary Talent Award, granted by SODEPAL’s Board of Directors, was awarded to the historic Amadeo Store, in recognition of its history and its connection to commerce, fashion, and social life on La Palma for more than a century.

Among those in attendance was the entire Isla Bonita Moda Guarantee Committee, comprised of Miriam Perestelo, Councilor for Economic Development of the La Palma Island Council and CEO of SODEPAL; Andrés Acosta, fashion designer and Director of Isla Bonita Moda; Asier Labarga, Director of MBFW Madrid and Lifestyle projects at IFEMA Madrid; Daniela Gutiérrez, creative director, fashion director of Neo2 magazine, and founder of Barokah Jewels; Jesús María Armas Domínguez, Councilor for Education, Training, Crafts, and Employment of the La Palma Island Council; Jonathan Díaz, of Diazar brand; Jose Toledo, model and television presenter; Maira Riverol, of La Sereca brand; Marta Ortiz, model and businesswoman; Mónica Reverón, Director of Manolo Blahnik School of Art; Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of ACME; Sara Luis, of Sara Luis Jewels; and Verania Sánchez, professor at Manolo Blahnik School of Art.

The event, hosted by Jose Toledo, was also attended by Canarian content creator and communicator Minerva Hernández and Marta Lasierra, Fashion Director of Woman magazine. The day concluded with a cocktail reception at the museum.
