The San Sebastián Fashion Festival celebrated its Spring/Summer 2026 edition, from May 4th to 9th, with a program of runway shows, forums, and awards held in various venues throughout the city. Among the participating designers were Luis Infantes and Isabel Sanchis, both members of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME).
Luis Infantes presented a retrospective of his work at the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum in Getaria, one of the festival’s key events. The fashion designer showcased a selection of couture pieces centered around his bridal universe, featuring designs constructed from volume, architecture, and craftsmanship. The firm, directed by Luis Infantes, presented a vision of couture rooted in craftsmanship and attention to detail. The fashion show featured clean lines, sculptural silhouettes, and fabrics crafted with the concept of creating a truly special garment.
Isabel Sanchis also received the Award for the Promotion and Development of Basque Brands, recognizing her support for Basque fashion. The Valencian designer had already presented a retrospective at the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum in 2023. On this occasion, the fashion brand showcased the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 collection at the San Telmo Museum. The collection explores layering, volume, and the combination of traditional fabrics with technological resources, along with couture details such as lace, beads, and hand-painted pieces.
The event brought together Spanish and international brands in venues such as the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum and the San Telmo Museum, with El Diario Vasco as the organizer.
