ACROMATYX pays homaje to its roots, with essence

07/04/2025

Creatively directed by Xavi García and Franx de Cristal, the fashion brand presented its “Essence” collection on the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk, a proposal that encapsulates the brand’s identity and upholds a statement of principles. A homage to their roots, and the passion it inspires by using the color black, a symbol of timelessness, elegance and purity in fashion design.

The collection takes as its starting point the rich cultural tradition of so-called “Black Spain,” steeped in mysticism, solemnity, and craftsmanship. In this context, the brand delves into the roots of Extremadura, reinterpreting the regional floral embroideries—made exclusively for ACROMATYX by artisans from Don Benito (Badajoz)—and distorting them to transform them into expressions of modernity and avant-garde.

On the catwalk, “Essence” strikes a balance between past and future, with silhouettes that explore duality: slim, streamlined lines blend with oversized volumes of unexpected proportions, in a constant play of contrasts. The use of textures is also prominent: the silky sheen of satin dialogues with the matte sobriety of cloth and cold wool, while metallic finishes make a bold appearance in fabrics and embroideries, providing a sophisticated and groundbreaking touch.

Regarding the color palette, absolute black is the dominant, main hue, accompanied by luminous white, pinstripes, and metallic accents that reinforce the collection’s innovative nature. Fabrics range from satins to nylon, cold wool, cotton, and faux fur, each carefully selected to reinforce the visual and conceptual narrative.

Each garment is conceived as a unique piece that honors tradition driving it into new expressive territories. “Essence” is more than a fashion collection: it’s an emotional and aesthetic exploration, a homage to cultural heritage, and a commitment with the future through authenticity.
