Pedro del Hierro, homage to Havana

15/09/2023

Pedro del Hierro opens the calendar at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, IFEMA with his “Delirio Habanero” collection. Reinterpreting the Cuban imaginary, creative directors Nacho Aguayo and Alex Miralles present a dynamic and colorful collection to the beat of Caribbean rhythms, transporting attendees to a piano bar in Old Havana.

A collection marked by the brand’s evolution towards the design of silhouettes that coexist between men and women creating a dialogue through colors, textures and shapes. The chromatic proposal is distinctive by colors representative of the region that range from natural tones such as green, terracotta and tobacco, which develop during the fashion show to the nocturnal and festive elegance of Havana with darker tones in contrast with raw hues and an accent on acid colors.

Pedro del Hierro’s women’s proposal is characterised by Cuban coloring. Natural tones predominate on different lengths dresses, tops and skirts. For men, tailoring through a wide range of silhouettes, relaxed, rich in volumes, textures and color, and a reinterpretation of the guayabera shirts take centre stage. As a common thread, the brand uses the national flower of Cuba, the White Butterfly, which is reflected in accessories, dresses and other pieces, represented in prints and even in accessories as an ornament in the models’ hairstyles.

Within the presentation, a part of the TFP by Tamara Falcó collection has also been shown.
