Spanish Design on Stage

23/07/2025

Actress Karla Sofía Gascón hosted the gala for the second edition of the Academia de la Moda Española Awards, held at the Fernán Gómez Theater – Centro Cultural de la Villa.

Throughout the evening, Gascón wore four outfits designed by members of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME): Malne, Duyos, and Isabel Zapardiez. Each look was carefully selected to complement the gala’s different moments, highlighting the creativity, craftsmanship, and excellence of Spanish design.

This choice reinforces the event’s commitment to fashion, not only as a cultural and economic driver, but also as a vehicle for expression. The presence of these designers on stage, through the presenter’s wardrobe, adds to the visibility they enjoyed on the red carpet as well as among the evening’s award winners, thus consolidating the awards as one of the major platforms for author fashion made in Spain.
