Spanish Designers in the expo “Global Fashion Capitals”

The Museum of Fashion Institute of Technology of New York (FIT) has just inaugurated the exhibition "Global Fashion Capitals", an exhibition that explores around the globalization of fashion and is curated by Ariele Elia and Elizabeth Way.

The hegemony of Paris as the fashion capital since the XVIII th Century, is followed by the relevance in the world of design of New York, London and Milan, the four cities of reference for the industry. But in the past decade, globalization has decentralized the system and new world capitals of fashion have arisen.

This exhibition has selected the 16 most interesting cities, represented each one of them by their most renowned designers.

Madrid is one of the chosen and is presented by the creations of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, DelPozo, Sybilla and a historical in Spanish fashion such as Balenciaga.

The exhibition will remain open until November 14th, 2015.
