On October 8th, TOUS opened two of its first ARTY stores; one in Alicante and one in Mexico City. ARTY is a new global concept store developed by the firm in collaboration with Lázaro Rosa-Violán’s studio. These are the first visible steps in the brand’s new roadmap within the defining strategy of their 2027-2029 international expansion plan.
The ARTY concept draws inspiration from art galleries and Catalan industrial modernism. The design reinterprets vaulted ceilings and incorporates stainless steel details alongside sisal flooring. The furnishings are understated, ensuring that the jewelry remains the primary focus. The design studio’s process began with a visit to the company’s headquarters: “Our first trip to Manresa to get to know TOUS was a revelation. […] That deeply human approach to the brand had to be reflected in its stores. We wanted visitors to sense some of that spirit from the moment they stepped inside,” explains Lázaro Rosa-Violán.
This new retail concept coincides with a product update. The TOUS creative team has been working with precious metals, gemstones, and innovative manufacturing processes; the brand plans to introduce over 2,000 new items before the end of the year. These pieces offer a fresh take on the historical design codes of the company, which was founded in 1920.
These two store openings reflect the significant importance of the Spanish and Mexican markets to the company’s business. TOUS currently has 18 other store projects in the pipeline, including locations in Bogotá, Madrid, and Barcelona. Its 2027–2029 strategic plan includes opening flagship stores across Europe and America, as well as securing agreements with major franchise groups.
