Francis Montesinos openshis first store in 1972 in Valencia, however it is in Barcelona where his career takes off as a fashion designer. In 1985 he gathers over 15,000 people in his presentation Made in Spain at Las Ventas and during the late 80s he joins the calendar of fashion shows of Madrid Fashion Week.
Throughout his long career he has received numerous awards among which outstand the Aguja de Oro (1985) and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (2006). His collections are inspired by folklore and his Mediterranean roots, a creative universe that has been taken to different areas such as costume design for the performing arts, decoration or perfume.[:]
