DESIGUAL presents the FW16 Collection during Fashion Week

16/02/2016

A Desigual experience. That’s what the brand promises before the presentation on Thursday 18th of February of the Fall / Winter 2016 collection. Inspired by the great urban metropolises and their cultural collage, the new designs play with the mixture of textures and silhouettes as a metaphor of cultural diversity in the cities.

Desigual opens thus the week of fashion shows in Madrid, within the framework of Madrid es Moda and during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The brand once again aims to create an experience that envelops and contextualizes the designs of the collection, which could be none other than the city of Madrid, specifically in calle Santo Tome in the barrio of Justicia. For a few hours, this madrileño sidewalk will see how some of their stores become real explanatory pictograms.

Graphics, textures and colour but mostly originality, signs of Desigual style, arise from garments reproducing prints that evoke faraway places, exotic flowers, geometric patterns inspired by oriental mosaics that roam over quilted velvets, and jacquards inviting you to caress the garments. They are creations arisen from the meeting of traditions and cultures and the city of the 21st century, an imaginary space in which past and present, East and West, craftsmanship and technology meet in a fascinating cultural collage.

If on Thursday, February 18th the tour will be reserved exclusively for press, the following Friday it will be open to the public between 10hrs. and 20hrs., as a special wish by the brand to open their presentation in Madrid to all fashion lovers.
