DOMINNICO, Softness as an Armor

16/04/2026

Fashion firm DOMINNICO presented at 080 Barcelona Fashion the SOFT ARMOR FALL 2026 collection, coinciding with the brand’s tenth anniversary. The collection revisits signature codes through a clear tension between strength and sensitivity, positioning clothing as a form of conscious protection.

The collection presents a straightforward idea: clothing as an emotional armor. Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro explores this duality without dramatizing it, taking softness into an active territory and structured elements towards more flexible interpretations. The reference to protection also appears as a cultural gesture, linked to how identity is constructed through what one wears.

On the runway, this interpretation is embodied in silhouettes that alternate between fitted and voluminous, with particular attention to outerwear and constructions that envelop the body. Leather, denim, and warming fabrics form the material base, while the palette combines pastel tones with more saturated and neutral accents. Recognizable references within the fashion brand’s universe appear, such as the motorcycle suit or the biker jacket, now refined and re-contextualized.

The collaboration with Samsung introduces a clear functional layer: three looks designed to integrate the device into everyday use, where bags and garments incorporate specific compartments modifying their construction around this functionality. Technology ceases to be an accessory becoming a part of the design.

At the same time, the collection pushes the idea of symbolic protection to its limits with oversized elements that challenge the balance between ornamentation and excess. Softness appears here as a proactive choice, not as a concession.
