Málaga Automobile and Fashion Museum (MAM) inaugurated the Fashion Month’s cycle of roundtables with the meet “Face to Face“, held on April 8th as a part of MAM Fashion Forum.
The session brought together Ernesto Naranjo and Pilar Dalbat in a conversation moderated by Pepa Bueno, director of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), in a format which focused on a direct exchange between designers and reflecting on contemporary practices.
During the meet, both fashion designers addressed issues related to creative process, brand identity development, and their own journeys within the industry. From different perspectives, the dialogue connected two ways of understanding design: on the one hand, textile research and material development; on the other, an approach that connects with architecture and craftsmanship.
The conversation took place in the museum’s “Engines” gallery, as part of a program of open meets between industry professionals, running over several days during April.
A simple format: two designers face to face, discussing their work processes and what it means to sustain a fashion brand today.
