Marcos Luengo Presents Two Regenerative Fashion Pieces

30/04/2026

Marcos Luengo presented two unique pieces as a part of The Gift of Colour, a project promoted by Municipality 5 of the Comune di Milano within the framework of Fuorisalone 2026 and Milan Design Week.

The fashion designer, a member of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), participated in this initiative with two creations made in collaboration with LOADS Collection, the textile platform developed by artist Claudy Jongstra together with Jesk Jongstra, which focuses on regenerative processes and natural dyes.

The pieces were made with textiles certified under the Demeter Textile Standard, a standard linked to regenerative processes from the origin of the materials. Among the fashion proposals, a standout piece is a set in rust tones, consisting of a silk organza dress, a matching kimono, and a blue sash, showcased by model Arizona Muse during the presentation. The second piece is a blue linen kimono with a green sash, also made with fabrics from LOADS Collection. The materials are sourced through processes that connect with the soil as well as the use of plant-based dyes, in line with Claudy Jongstra’s research regarding natural fibers and organic pigments.

The Gift of Colour connects ecology, urban gardens, and art through community spaces conceived as natural color laboratories for fashion. Within this context, Marcos Luengo has worked from pattern-making and craftsmanship to translate these textiles into haute couture pieces.

The presentation took place in Milan during one of the leading international weeks for contemporary design.
