World Fashion Week® and World Fashion Exhibition® China 2024 was filled with creativity and sustainability due to the outstanding participation of talented Spanish fashion designer María Lafuente, highly valued and acknowledged on international runways. On this occasion, Lafuente has been chosen to represent sustainable Spanish fashion in China. The event, held in the vibrant city of Shanghai from September 27th to 30th, brought together visionaries from the world of sustainable fashion from five continents, marking a milestone in the promotion of responsible and conscious fashion.

Highlights:

• Pioneer in Sustainable Fashion: María Lafuente was the first designer to present a collection with PEFC-certified sustainable fabrics at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).

• Innovation and Art: Her collection presented at Mercedes Fashion Week Madrid, on September 16, 2024, stands out for its fusion of sustainable techniques and designs that are a tribute to nature, reflecting her commitment to conscious fashion.

Recognised for her innovative approach, María Lafuente fuses art, culture, nature and innovation in each of her collections. Her work is not just about creating fashion; it establishes a profound dialogue between that which is individual and that which is universal, inspiring the audience to adopt a more conscious and environmentally committed lifestyle.
