The Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026 runway show began its countdown with a meet held at Hotel Nômade Temple in Madrid, where the main highlights of the forthcoming edition were unveiled. The event, promoted by Gran Canaria Island Council through the program Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, is bringing its dates forward this year to coincide with the swimwear season’s peak, in alignment with the industry’s purchasing cycle.
From June 24th to 27th, the only European runway show specializing in swimwear will bring together in Gran Canaria the island’s firms, Spanish brands, and international names. The opening day will be held for the first time outdoors, at Perchel Beach Club, featuring runway shows by Maldito Sweet, Gogana, Alexandra Miró, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, among others.
The program will continue at Expomeloneras with collections from Isla Bonita Moda, Bohodot, Dolores Cortés, Gisela, Chantelle, Melissa Odabash, Women’secret, Banana Moon, Miss Bikini, and various emerging talents from Gran Canaria, as well as other participating brands.
At the presentation, Minerva Alonso, Gran Canaria Island Council’s Councilor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts, highlighted the unique nature of Gran Canaria Swim Week as a global platform for swimwear, and emphasized the work of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida in promoting and professionalizing local brands.
The 2026 edition will also feature models such as Rocío Crusset and Valentina Ferrer, as well as international guests connected to the fashion industry. For four days, Gran Canaria will once again host a runway show where swimwear is presented in a direct relation to the island, the calendar, and the lifestyle of those living near the sea.
