ACME collaborates with Spain reloaded

The professional meeting of cosmopolitan tourism "Spain Reloaded 2018", organized by the Community of Madrid together with Turespaña and with ACME’s collaboration, has brought together 138 tour operators from 23 countries (United States, New Zealand, Australia, Israel, China, Japan, Indonesia, France, Sweden, Great Britain and Germany, among others) in Madrid, to visit the city and province, and to become acquainted first hand with its main tourist attractions, among them Spanish author fashion.

For the event, several routes throughout Madrid have been implemented in which the tour operators were able to verify the region’s tourist benefits, both at the level of monuments and museums, as well as restaurants, gastronomy and shopping. In the latter case, it has had ACME’s collaboration by organizing several shopping tours through some of the most important Spanish designers’ boutiques, as well as accompanying them in their tour through the different shops and ateliers. Previously, brief interviews were held with all of them to inform them of the great variety of creative options that tourists can find in Spain and, specifically, in Madrid.

Within the framework of this initiative, one of ACME’s creators, Moisés Nieto, has been commissioned to design a T-shirt for the global tour operators. The garment, with which the Community of Madrid wished to show gratitude, is a design gift Made in Spain that they will carry as a souvenir of their stay in Madrid. Moisés Nieto founded his own fashion brand in 2011 after completing his Fashion Design studies at IED Madrid. The creator fuses craftsmanship with the most avant-garde design and youth culture, firmly betting on fashion made in Spain. With several acknowledgements and awards behind him, such as Vogue Who's on Next in 2016, he is one of the great promises of national fashion.

Once finished such a project, it is always advisable to draw some conclusions and reflect on the current situation of fashion in Spain and all that remains to be done. This is what Pepa Bueno, Director of ACME does in her post "Speed Dating" of fashion, on the Association's blog, in which she compiles some of the opinions and points of view of the different tour operators that have participated in this program.[:]
