Leandro Cano celebrates his 10th anniversary in Jaén

06/04/2022

Fashion creator Leandro Cano returns to his origins to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his homonymous brand. Santa Catalina Castle in Jaén was the setting chosen to celebrate the designer’s great fashion show where he presented his Fall-Winter 2022/2023 collection titled “HISPANIA, the Costa de los Conejos”.

Leandro Cano showcases a proposal that allegories the Middle Ages and the seal left by the diversity of civilizations that have passed through his land since the Phoenicians landed upon Spanish coasts.

As usual in the fashion creator from Jaen ‘s collections, knitwear plays a key role. For this season, hand-woven pieces in wool and mohair predominate. Wool also becomes a star material for sartorial pieces with impeccable suits and coats. Lighter and more classic fabrics such as satin, cotton, crepe, viscose, cotton jacquard and gabardine are combined with other more innovative, casual ones such as technical fabrics: waterproof, synthetic fur, neoprene and denim.

The collection has two types of prints: the first, inspired by medieval bestiaries has been made on cotton jacquard combining blue, red and white yarn for the illustrations and letters. Out standing is the print that simulates a sea of castles, on cotton, neoprene, taffeta and technical fabrics.

Many personalities and the brand’s friends travelled to Jaén to enjoy this fashion show as well as the celebration of his tenth anniversary, which included a complete program of activities to enjoy the attractions of the Andalusian city of Jaen, the home town of fashion designer Leandro Cano.
