The sky as the body's mirror

Palmas brand, which was founded in 1989 by Pedro Palmas, presented its "Zodiac" collection at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection gazes at the heavens with both scientific and poetic devotion. Inspired by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius, the collection bridges the gap between the study of the cosmos and fashion design, transforming the constellations into a textile language.

The starting point was Firmamentum Sobiescianum, the star atlas in which Hevelius meticulously and beautifully depicts the zodiac's constellations. Palmas reinterprets these engravings, transforming them into reliefs, structures, and three-dimensional volumes that adorn the surfaces of swimwear and beachwear. Celestial symbols are subtly suggested in swimsuits, bikinis, and trikinis with sculptural silhouettes, while light, translucent fabrics envelop dresses, trousers, blouses, and tops with an ethereal, lunar feel.

The collection reveals a serene gaze upon the universe: a constellation of forms that translates astral observation into earthly elegance.
