PALOMO Builds His Arcadia

15/09/2026

PALOMO presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Et in Arcadia Ego, at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Alejandro Gómez Palomo constructs an Arcadia of his own—a realm unbound by time or a specific place, where desire finds free expression and identities undergo transformation.

The collection takes Arcadia as its starting point: the ideal garden that artists, writers, and architects have envisioned for centuries as a sanctuary far removed from the city and its rules—a space dedicated to pleasure, contemplation, and beauty. PALOMO’s Arcadia blends the darkness of a garden at dawn, courtly theatricality, and the splendor of an imagined palace. The garden is converted into a stage for a game of seduction and performance, where revealing and concealing, observing and being observed, are all part of the same act.

Spanish Baroque gardens, 18th-century pastoral paintings, and the aesthetic worlds of Visconti, Pasolini, and Cecil Beaton coexist with classical and Spanish traditions, and the House’s signature style. Masculine and feminine elements function as interchangeable codes within a unified narrative, marking the firm’s tenth anniversary. Et in Arcadia Ego revisits the sensuality, romanticism, folklore, haute couture, and fantasy that have defined PALOMO since he began, just like a creative language in continuous evolution.

The intimacy of lingerie meets the precision of tailoring, while torero jackets, embroidery, and floral prints redefine the silhouette. Silk chiffons and pastel brocades are combined with wool and airy organza, contrasted by metal studs that infuse the garments with the tension between nature and artifice. The color palette ranges from black and powdery tones to ivory and luminous white, creating a landscape of flowers, wrought iron, marble, and dew.

Footwear is provided by Magrit, headpieces by Vivas Carrión, and jewelry by Mónica Sordo. The collection also incorporates pieces created in collaboration with Olive Oils From Spain, while Nothing, and Levi’s, bring to the fashion show PALOMO’s dialogue with Spanish culture, technology, and contemporary pop culture.

In Et in Arcadia Ego, underwear and rigorous tailoring coexist, with the torero jacket as the centerpiece, encapsulating the tension between nature and artifice that runs through the entire collection.
