Roberto Verino Art Space celebrates its tenth anniversary as an active cultural project integrated in the fashion brand’s store on Paseo de Ourense. This initiative, from its inception, connects fashion together with contemporary art, reinforcing the designer’s commitment to culture as an essential part of his creative universe.
The space was created with a clear idea: to bring art into everyday life generating a constant dialogue between artistic disciplines. For over a decade, it has provided a meeting place for painting, photography, sculpture, and printmaking, understanding fashion not as an isolated territory, but as another form of cultural expression. “Fashion is art in itself,” the designer points out, underlining a vision that has guided the project from the beginning.
Located within the store itself, the Art Space seamlessly integrates exhibitions into the customer experience. Artworks coexist with the collections, reinforcing an open perspective where design and culture share language and sensibility.
Over the past ten years, the space has brought together an ample list of creators. In painting, artists such as Tareixa Taboada, Manolo Figueiras, Miguel Piñeiro, Isabel Seidell, José Monjardín, Marieta Quesada, and Ángeles Jorreto have held exhibits. Photography has played a prominent role with historical images linked to the gallery, and works by artists such as Alberto Heras and Plácido L. Rodríguez, as well as projects within the Outono Fotográfico (Fall Photography Festival) featuring creators like Xosé Lois, Virginia Rota, Patricia Pettitt, Philipe Gabriel, and Tamara Wassaf. The program is completed with sculpture and printmaking by artists such as Baldomero Moreiras, Luis de las Cuevas, and Xosé Poldras.
After more than a decade, the project is now embarking on a new phase. The objective remains the same: to explore new approaches, broaden horizons, and continue supporting artists without losing its original essence. The Roberto Verino Art Space continues thus its path as a crossroads between fashion, art and contemporary thought.
