Jorge Vázquez and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, L’Oréal awards

15/07/2018

As in every edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid,, the finishing touch to the last day of the fashion shows is the ceremony of the L’Oréal awards. On this occasion, Galician designer Jorge Vázquez won the prize for best collection with “Angels”, a feminine and elegant proposal for spring / summer of 2019. And as a novelty, in this edition, acknowledgement has also been given to the best beauty look in the fashion shows, which befell on Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s beauty team and was collected by her daughter Cosima Ramírez.

Muslin, tulle, embroidery, satin, gazar or maxi sequins are some of the materials chosen by JORGE VÁZQUEZ for this collection, where main features are very fluid, loose, ethereal garments, some without a waist, like tunics, and others with the waist very marked such as in tuxedos or jackets, longer than usual. Bell pants, huge sleeves, many ruffles and extra long fringes accompany this tailoring exercise, which identifies so well the designer.
