“I remember perfectly the day I met David. It was at the University of Valladolid, in a conference about fashion organized by Victoria Cavia in which we both participated as speakers. It was just before my debut in Cibeles in 2004 and I remember that we did a photo together that was published in the press. Already at that moment I found him a lovely person. David was friendly, intelligent and funny. It was very easy to connect with him. They are those memories that are never forgotten because they are a part of my beginnings, when you have a very special enthusiasm.
The photo you see is a publication of 2005. Many designers where called to do a photo editorial and I teamed with David, along with other colleges such as Ana Locking and Ion Fiz. I remember the photo shoot, which was done in Ramses, and how we enjoyed that afternoon full of laughter and complicity.
David is a great innovator and a revolutionary designer who worked and projected a unique concept and a unique image, character and identity that have shaped each of his collections.
