Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has participated in the exhibition RetroSpective in the Fashion Institute of Technology FIT in New York. The exhibit reveals fashion’s fascination with its own history paying special attention to the reinterpretation of the historical silhouettes.
The past continues to fascinate contemporary fashion creators who, season after season, review trends from times gone by. This exhibition, organized by Jennifer Farley, takes a journey through the different stages of the history of fashion that have inspired and inspire leading designers.
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, with her emblematic Meninas, and Manolo Blahnik have been the Spanish representatives of this exhibit in which they have shared the stage with other relevant labels such as; Jean Paul Gaultier, Balmain, Yamamoto, Balenciaga and Elsa Schiaparelli.[:]
