Already, the winners of the IVth window shop competition

The awards of the IVth  window shop competition of the MADRID ES MODA festival, an initiative of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), were delivered yesterday at the IBEROSTAR Las Letras Gran Vía Hotel, in an act presented by Pepa Bueno, Director of ACME , which was attended by Olga Ruiz, Deputy General Director of Commerce and Markets of Madrid City Council, Augusto Guardiola, Director of Corporate Development of Marcelo Vilá, Toni Gasa, Director of Communication and Public Relations of Las Rozas Village, and Modesto Lomba, President of ACME, among others.

This event, that highlights the relevance of the exhibit fashion space par excellence, the window shop, is a regular feature in MADRID ES MODA and enjoys the collaboration of the Community of Madrid, the City of Madrid and Madrid Fashion Capital, the mannequin brand Marcelo Vilá and las Rozas Village, which sponsors in this edition the novel category.

The jury for this IVth  edition was made up by Concha Díaz de Villegas, General Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, Charo Izquierdo, Director of the Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week, Pepa Bueno, ACME Director, Marta López, Account Executive of Marcelo Vilá, Eloy Martínez de la Pera, curator of fashion exhibitions, Raúl Marina, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid and Teresa Iturralde, fashion editor of Yo Dona.

The students of the fashion and design schools IED Madrid and the Superior Centre of Fashion Design of Madrid (CSDMM) have been the protagonists of the novel category of the competition. In this edition, the students Patricia Arenal Olea, Noelia Escaño Bartolomé, María Guardia Gómez, Adela Molina Mugarza and Jorge Rodríguez Ferrera, of CSDMM, have won the Best Novel Window Shop of the MADRID ES MODA Award, which includes an accreditation diploma, € 500 and a mannequin by Marcelo Vilá. The award was presented by Modesto Lomba, President of ACME and Toni Gasa, Communication and Public Relations Director of Las Rozas Village.

The winning window shop created for Las Rozas Village was bubble-shaped and it featured the designs of Ana LockingJuan Vidal and Miguel Becer, of fashion brand ManéMané, in 360º. According to the words of one of the members of the jury, Eloy Martínez de la Pera, this work has managed to create the necessary visual impact to capture the attention of the public, through a modern and attractive language and some scenography elements that invite you to stop and admire the encapsulated dresses.

The winner of the Best Professional Window Shop Award has been designer Úlises Mérida, who in collaboration with the Real Fábrica Española, has set up a delicate and attractive window shop combining craft and couture in a subtle and elegant way, according to the jury’s words, in his shop of the Barrio de las Letras. The award ceremony, consisting of an accrediting diploma, € 1,000 and a mannequin by Marcelo Vilá, was given by Olga Ruiz, Deputy General Manager of Commerce and Markets of Madrid City Council and Marta López, Account Executive of Marcelo Vilá.
