ACME collaborates with a webinar that analyses fashion’s evolution in Macaronesia

13/07/2021

The Council of Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria organizes, in collaboration with ACME, a webinar that analyses fashion’s evolution in Macaronesia.

The webinar featured prominent professionals from the fashion and design sector from the Canary Islands as well as the rest of Spain, with Madeira and the Azores as protagonists. The morning session addressed topics such as the commercialization, internationalization and digitization of fashion companies, with the founder of the fashion brand Duarte, Carlos Duarte, the international fashion consultant Alexandra Pisco and the founder of the digital strategy consultancy Lin3s, Iñaki García .

In the afternoon it was time for a dialogue and exchange of experiences between fashion creators from Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma, Azores and Madeira. This colloquium was moderated by the executive director of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) Pepa Bueno.

This action is part of the Interregional project of “business cooperation for access to foreign markets and attraction of investments for the fashion and apparel industry in the Macaronesian region (MODAMAC)”, an initiative that has been developed since 2019 with the objective to improve the export capacity of the fashion sector in order to strengthen its competitiveness, increase regional cooperation for marketing the sector’s products abroad and strengthen the production, promotion and distribution channels of fashion products in foreign markets.
