Fashion windows in the streets of Madrid

23/01/2019

Madrid dresses-up its spaces with fashionable windows to the street. Hotels, tourist offices, transparent bubbles in the street or central establishments window shops, are the scene of creativity and fashion where the designs of our great creators, and the talent of students and established window dressers compete to rise as winners of the Window Shop Competition of Madrid es Moda.

This contest, sponsored by the City of Madrid, the mannequin brand Marcelo Vilá and Las Rozas Village (in its novel category), consists of two categories: novel and professional. Students from the main design schools of Madrid attend the novel category. In this edition, students of IED (European Institute of Design), CSDMM (Centre for Design and Fashion of Madrid), and ESNE , have been responsible for designing and developing the window shops that enter the competition in this category in the spaces and with the designs assigned by Madrid es Moda. The prize: €500 awarded by the City Council and a mannequin by Marcelo Vilá.

IED has once again demonstrated the talent of its students in the shop windows of the Hotel Iberostar Las Letras de Gran Vía with designs by María Ke Fisherman.

For its part, CSDMM repeats the same scenario and designers of the last edition (in which they were winners): a spectacular bubble in the centre of Las Rozas Village with three fashion creators that are teachers at the centre: Ana LockingJuan VidalMANÉMANÉ. A challenge for these brilliant students, who have shown once again that they can reinvent themselves by doing something completely different from the previous edition.
