Leandro Cano Bites Paris

08/07/2026

Leandro Cano presented Un Chien Andalou, his FW26/27 collection at the Franca Sozzani Foundation in Paris coinciding with Haute Couture Week. The collection arises from a quote by the designer himself: “I carry rage in my body, I come ready to bite.”

The new collection stems from a vision of Andalusia before it was stereotyped: a territory of frontiers and overflowing boundaries, where diverse cultures have met for millennia.

In Un Chien Andalou, Leandro Cano explores said Andalusia through piercing hyperbole, surrealism, and a form of embodied emotion. The collection is built upon dimension, texture, and gesture.

The collection incorporates satin, cotton, wool crepe, lace, natural fur, hand embroidery, and vintage Spanish fabrics. Ceramics are treated like fabric, combed felt creates surfaces that invite close observation, and the silver jewelry and crocheted masks appear linked to imposition, penance, and silence.

The presentation took place at the Franca Sozzani Foundation in Paris during Haute Couture Week.

*The Collection’s title is drawn from the iconic short film – Un Chien Andalou by Director Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí released in 1929.
