The Embassy of Spain in Paris was the background for the presentation of LEANDRO CANO’S artistic collection. Held within the framework of Haute Couture Week in Paris, the creator from Jaén presented 10 looks, one for each year of his career, taking an introspective journey that immerses us in a medieval world where different ones are excluded.
With this presentation, the designer wanted to pay tribute to craftsmanship through a celebration of creativity and know-how in a range of artisanal trades. Gold embroidery, wool embroidery, fabrics made by hand on looms, crochet, mohair crochet, hand-embossed leather or ceramics featured in Leandro Cano's 'Dance of the Excluded', a fashion proposal full of symbolism that has become his most personal collection.
The fashion show confirms Leandro Cano's intention to present an artistic collection per year, which he later completes with his prêt-à-porter proposals. Each of the 10 creations in this collection alludes to an iconic look from Leandro Cano's career: from his final year project to the look worn by Lady Gaga. Cotton twill, quilted or jacquard fabrics are mixed with detailed worked leathers, ceramics and chains in a proposal in which nothing is casual, and everything has a deep meaning.
