Carlota Barrera presented her Spring/Summer 2026 collection, From The Body’s Edge, at her Gran Vía atelier as part of the OMODA Madrid es Moda program. The collection takes the body as its starting point by understanding the garment as the place where both intimacy as well as structure meet.
From this idea of the body’s edge, the collection observes what normally remains hidden, bringing it to the surface. Intimacy becomes shape, while gesture replaces rigid control. At this point, men’s tailoring continues its process of revision with a language that maintains precision, but opens itself to a more vulnerable and intimate interpretation of the body.
The pieces, in balance where structure is supported by lightness, move between that which is formal and everyday styles. The tension between interior and exterior guides the silhouettes construction. It is in this boundary, between skin and garment, that the collection finds its place: tailoring that approaches the body to understand it better.
