ACME presents Campus Moda

28/01/2016

The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), the University Francisco de Vitoria (UFV) and Fashion Studies Institute join forces to launch Campus Moda (Fashion Campus), the first training course of international excellence in the field of fashion intended for college bound youth. Leading designers such as Modesto Lomba, Victorio & Lucchino, Roberto Torretta, Maya Hansen, María Barros, Juanjo Oliva, Juan Duyos or Agatha Ruiz de la Prada will share their professional experience with young people from 15 to 18 years. This program will be developed in the campus of the University Francisco de Vitoria during the first half of the month of July.

Campus Moda comprises three modules designed to provide students with an overview of fashion. The first consists of a course in fashion design, where students will learn, among other things, the techniques of a design atelier, illustration, draping and styling. Students will have the opportunity to present their creations in a fashion show that will act as a colophon to this novel initiative. This module is led by Modesto Lomba, designer and President of ACME.

The second module, coordinated by Corporate CEO of Grupo Cortefiel, Ignacio Sierra, will bring the industry of fashion to students. A space to address issues such as brand and product creation, marketing, licensing, distribution, retail or communication.

The third will feature the presence of Spanish creators with relevant global acknowledgement and several of the most influential communicators in social networks and the digital world. Designers such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Victorio & Lucchino, Roberto Torretta, Maya Hansen, María Barros, Devota & Lomba, Juanjo Oliva and Juan Duyos will share first hand their experiences in the world of fashion.

The 60 young people taking part in this first edition will coexist for 15 days in full board regime in the modern Student Halls of the UFV, located in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
