Juana Martín dazzles in Seville with "Cristales Rotos de Triana"

Fashion designer and winner of the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts 2024, Juana Martín, marked her return from Paris Haute Couture Week with the presentation of her new collection, "Cristales Rotos de Triana". Her fashion show took place on March 5th at the majestic setting of the Archivo General de Indias in Seville, which dressed-up in flamenco fashion.

This new fashion proposal by the designer is inspired in the antique gypsy digs in Seville and the impact that their removal to the city's outskirts had, marking the end of an era both for art as well as flamenco. The collection is a tribute to the designer's roots and the history of her people, coinciding with the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the arrival of the gypsy people to the Iberian Peninsula.

In "Cristales Rotos de Triana", Juana Martín fuses tradition with avant-garde. Polka dots and roses were the protagonists of the brand's essence once again, and she incorporated touches of contemporary styles in some bodies, coats and midi dresses.

The presentation was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Seville's City Council, as well as entities such as Málaga de Moda and Cajasol Foundation. Additionally, numerous personalities attended the event, which not only celebrated Juana Martín's talent, but also reinforced the attractiveness of Seville as a luxury tourism destination and one of the cradles where flamenco fashion arose.
