Juanjo Oliva & IED Madrid for Trendipia

05/11/2014

The Palace of Altamira of Madrid hosted the launch of the new capsule collection “Juanjo Oliva & IED Madrid for Trendipia” designed by students of IED Moda Lab under the direction of the Spanish designer, manufactured and sold exclusively by Trendipia.

The collection is now on sale via crowd funding on the online platform Trendipia, a novel way to sell sustainably that allows to prefund, in a solidary manner, through the buyers themselves, the production of the garments through a system of pre-purchase and reservation.

Juanjo Oliva has worked closely with the students of the Higher Degree in Fashion Design to create a capsule collection from iconic silhouettes from his label. The best five projects have been awarded an internship at the brand’s atelier. This creative team, made-up by Javier Garcia-Huidobro, Rosa Rubio, Priscilla Castaño, Julia Cortizo, and Alvaro Amezcua has had the opportunity to participate in the development of his prêt-à-porter collection, his haute couture work and the preparation of this capsule collection for its online distribution.
