As a part of OMODA Madrid es Moda’s event, Pedro Palmas showcased his previously unseen collection, *Silencio*—presented under the title “Stone Stitches” (*Puntadas de Piedra*), via a static exhibition at Palenque space. This event is part of a collaboration between Gran Canaria Moda Cálida: Gran Canaria Island Council’s program to promote the island’s fashion sector, and ACME.
The collection takes Madrid’s most iconic architecture as its muse, translating it into a textile vocabulary: a frieze becomes embroidery, a slate dome transforms into voluminous shoulder detailing, and skyscraper glass turns into light-reflecting textures. *Silencio* unfolds as a dialogue between permanence and fluidity, inviting us to view the city as a garment we all wear.
The silhouettes are sculptural, arising as pieces inspired by urban geometry, possessing a serene timelessness where signature design, architecture, and art converge. Each piece is created directly over the mannequin, emerging from conceptual lines and abstract forms, crafted from mikado, velvet, silk, and vegan leather to provide refinement as well as structure.
*Silencio* continues the architectural theme that has been a recurring language in Pedro Palmas’s work since the firm resumed operations in 2015.
