The Fundación Academia de la Moda Española (FAME) and RTVE celebrated the III edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards at Gran Teatro Príncipe Pío in Madrid. The gala, broadcasted live on La 2, TVE Internacional, and RTVE Play, brought together over 900 guests, including designers, companies, artisans, institutional representatives, and industry professionals.
In this third edition, the Awards focused on the artisan trades that make up a part fashion’s value chain. Throughout the ceremony, tributes were paid to professions such as seamstresses, pattern makers, embroiderers, espadrille makers, photographers, dyers, and stylists, among others, in recognition of their contribution to the sector and the need to ensure the generational renewal of these trades.
The Awards acknowledge the work carried out during the past year in different areas of the Spanish fashion ecosystem. The following have been acknowledged by the academics in this edition:
- High Craftsmanship Applied to Fashion: Atelier Mariana Barturen, for Atelier de Flores.
- Ambassador of Spanish Fashion: Foundation Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum.
- Promotion and Broadcasting of Spanish Fashion: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
- Best Collection: Isabel Sanchís, for Spring/Summer 2026.
- Best Footwear and Leather Goods Collection: Pedro García, for Essentia, 100 Years of Pedro García.
- Best Jewelry and Accessories Collection: Helena Rohner, for her Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
- Best Presentation – Runway Show: Juan Vidal, for the collection “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not”.
- Best Presentation – New Formats: Naranjo and ManéMané, for Naranjo + ManéMané.
- Best Business Project: Lola Casademunt.
- Sustainability and Innovation: Pyratex, by Pyratex solea – New supply chain for Spanish cotton.
- Emerging Talent: Habey Club.
During the gala, the two special awards granted by FAME’s Board of Trustees were also presented. The Honorary Award went to Adolfo Domínguez, coinciding with the firm’s 50th anniversary, in recognition of his pioneering role in the internationalization of Spanish fashion. The International Award was given to Manolo Blahnik, distinguished for his contribution to shoe design and craftsmanship, and was accepted by Kristina Blahnik, the company’s CEO.
The gala was attended by institutional representatives and RTVE staff, as well as numerous designers and industry professionals, including Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Juan Vidal, Moisés Nieto, Roberto Verino, Ana Locking, Ernesto Naranjo, Miguel Becer, Pablo Erroz, Pilar Dalbat, María Lafuente, Maite Gassó, Maison Mesa, Malne, Acromatyx, Jaime Álvarez, Modesto Lomba, Roberto Torretta, Pedro Palmas, Luis Berrendero, and Isabel Sanchís, in addition to models, performers, and content creators. Organized by the Fundación Academia de la Moda Española and RTVE, the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards are now in their third year, consolidating their position as the prime yearly acknowledgements of the creativity, the industry, and the professionals that make up Spanish fashion.
