The tension between conformity and rebellion is the concept of “GENERATIONAL RELAY”, the new Spring-Summer 2024 collection by Carlota Barrera. After coming back to Spain, Carlota Barrera embarks on a return trip to her place of origin, and to the decade of the 1990s when she was born.
Tailoring, a distinctive element of Carlota Barrera is approached from a new perspective: layering. Simple and timeless patterns are combined on overlays, sleeves and double legs, creating classic silhouettes that become statement pieces. The silhouettes are relaxed with fabrics such as cotton voile, wool and Tencel. Her experimentation with denim, which has characterized the brand since its creation, is reflected in deconstructed pieces.
The collection’s main palette is made up of neutral colours such as white, black and grey, which serve as the basis to study the silhouette and its proportions. These neutral tones coexist harmoniously with green and pink bringing freshness as well as vitality to the fashion collection.
