Where the sun keeps memory, Dolores Cortés

26/06/2026

Swimwear brand Dolores Cortés presented the 2027 Maasai collection at Gran Canaria Swim Week. This collection takes as its starting point travel, landscapes, and the energy of color to construct a narrative where swimwear becomes both territory and personal expression.

The collection observes ethnic references from a contemporary perspective, translating recognizable shapes and codes into a graphic language with great visual clarity. Geometric prints generate rhythm and movement through defined contrasts, while animal print inspiration is presented in softer, more refined versions.

The collection’s strength resides in a palette of intense brown, luminous yellow, deep green, enveloping blue, and black, which evokes the earth and the landscape. Fabrics with gradient lurex bring shimmering details that recall the sunset’s changing light and accompany the body’s movements naturally.

Swimsuits and bikinis are combined with versatile pieces that expand the collection’s universe, maintaining a balance between character and functionality. The garment’s construction reinforces an idea of security and freedom, designed for a woman who understands fashion as a way of expressing herself and occupying space.

Maasai walks on the runway like a moving landscape, where each color appears to hold the sun’s warmth still lingering on the skin.
