The great closing party of Madrid es Moda

25/02/2016

What better way to close Madrid’s Fashion Week than with a big party? This was our intention in Madrid es Moda, an urban program driven by the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) from 15th to 23rd of February during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. And our wish is fulfilled in this second edition, thanks to the generosity of Iberostar Hotel de las Letras Gran Via where the event was held, and the media support of Grupo Hola!

A party where the usual phrase “! I don’t know what to wear” has no place, as the dress code was made clear: Spanish Fashion. That was the code and these were the guests, an extensive representation of national design: From Ulises Merida, Manuel Garcia, Kina Fernández, Modesto Lomba, Moises Nieto, Ion Fiz, Helena Rohner or David Delfín. Angel Schlesser and Tristán Ramirez Ruiz de la Prada (representing his mother, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada) Jorge Acuña, Juanjo Oliva, Nuria Sardá, Juan Duyos, Jorge Vazquez or Juana Martin. From Leyre Valiente to Miguel Marinero, Francis Montesinos, Roberto Torretta, Ana Locking and Hannibal Laguna.

But as fashion does not only live of fashion creators, the gathering also included tops such as Marta Ortiz, Sophie Horbury, Kellie Santos or Paola Willems named best mannequin of the 63rd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, who joined singers and actresses such as Maria Reyes, Elisa Mouliaá, Esmeralda Moyá or Sandra Martin, the Director of the National Ballet of Spain, Antonio Najarro, TV presenters Isabel Jimenez and Berta Collado, the Michelin-starred chef Paco Morales or bloggers Mayte de la Iglesia and Cris Chicote. Of course, all complying with the evening ritual: dressed in Spanish Fashion.

With this closing party we say goodbye to the second edition of Madrid es Moda, with the happiness of having achieved to double the number of participants and grow in the variety and quality of the proposals. We will be back in September to dress up again the centre of Madrid with Spanish design during its Fashion Week.
