Pilar Dalbat presents her "Sierra Nevada" collection with a pioneering fashion show at ski resort

Designer Pilar Dalbat made history by organizing the first fashion show at a Spanish ski resort with an altitude of 2,700 meters in Sierra Nevada, Granada. The 179-meter-long runway was installed inside a transparent tube surrounded by snow and skiers, creating a unique setting for the presentation of her "Sierra Nevada" collection. Inspired by winter landscape's light, contrasts, and silhouettes, the fashion show is a tribute to this iconic resort, which the designer has known since childhood.

The event counted with the institutional backing of Modesto Lomba, president of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), who attended the fashion show supporting this innovative proposal that brings together fashion, heritage, and sustainability.

The collection, contemplated for Winter 2026, is comprised of 40 looks that combine author couture and functionality, while maintaining, with an innovative approach, the essence of après-ski. Capes, coats, and jackets stand out, along with hand-fringed mohair wool and silk knitwear, providing texture and movement. Dresses are the collection's centerpiece, with designs ranging from styles with shirt-collars and hip cuts, perfect for daytime, to sophisticated evening dresses in tulle and silk georgette.

The color palette reflects the snow and mountains' essence, combining powdery tones, and vibrant orange, gray and chocolate, with the brand's signature snow white, lagoon blue, and black.

The fashion show, which featured models such as Palito Dominguín, was produced with zero ecological impact, employing headphone sound technology and using only existing structures, reaffirming the fashion brand's commitment to sustainability. This initiative also supports Granada's bid to be the 2031 European Capital of Culture, consolidating fashion as a pillar of the city's cultural identity.
